Corrosion losses

Corrosion losses can be specified for steel cross-sections for casing structures:

  • Δt1 - loss on the inner surface of the retaining wall (in green on the pictures)
  • Δt2 - loss on the outer surface of the retaining wall (soil side - in red on the pictures below)

Corrosion losses can be entered separately for individual sections of the retaining wall structure and thus take into account the uneven distribution of corrosion along the height of the arm.

Corrosion losses reduce the acting of steel cross-section.

The corroded cross-section is used for steel section dimensioning purposes in the sheeting check program.

The full non-corroded cross-section is always used for the calculation of internal forces and deformations.
